As the year comes to a close, we prepare to enter into the most wonderful time of the year— Christmas season. Most avid Christmas fanatics can agree that a successful Christmas celebration includes at least one of the following things: Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You”, Christmas lights, or classic cut-out sugar cookies. While each family has their own unique recipe that has passed through the family for generations, I took it upon myself to go on the hunt to find the BEST Christmas sugar cookie recipe the internet has to offer. This is what happened.

First, I took to Google, searched through the thousands of options and settled on the most reliable source that came up for my sugar cookie request— allrecipes.com. Now that I had found a worthy recipe, it was time to put it to the test. This was the process.

STEP 1: Combine 3 ¾ cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and ½ teaspoon of salt into a bowl and sift.

STEP 8: Place cookies on non-stick sheet and bake in the oven at a toasty four-hundred for

6-8 minutes until the edges are lightly browned.

Author’s Note: (In Justin Bieber’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You (SuperFestive!) [Duet with Mariah Carey]”, Justin adds a little something to the neoclassical Christmas hymn that you didn’t know you wanted. Here, the cookie represents Mariah and the sprinkles, Justin. Add the sprinkles wherever your soul feels they’re needed.)

STEP 9: Enjoy the delicious cookies you just had the joy of creating.

After much deliberation, and many a taste-testing, I can confidently say this is truly the best sugar cookie recipe the internet has to offer. To try the recipe out for yourself this Christmas season, you can find it at https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/10110/soft-christmas-cookies/.
