The Lourdes Volleyball Team had an amazing season this year. There were wonderful performances from both the varsity and junior varsity teams. The varsity volleyball team did very well, ending an amazing season with a win during their last home game against Highland on October 23rd. The varsity team also had excellent team captains, Abigail Anderson, Madison Tegeler, and Molly Quirk. They also had two very helpful coaches leading them along the way. In addition, the junior varsity team also did incredible this year!
A freshman on the JV team, Emma Lown, had this to say about her coaches, “While they may be hard on us, it helps us keep interest in what we are doing and win a game.” The team, while only together for a short time, worked really well together. A freshman on the JV team, Joey Melish, spared a few words about how well the team works together. Melish said, “Even when it looks like we’re going to lose a set, we still stay positive and cheer each other on.”
The junior varsity team is very talented and we cannot wait to see how they progress over the next few years.
